Yes, because putting down an animal can have a very strong emotional impact. If you say 'put to sleep' for example, it sounds better because you can tell that you want the animal to die peacefully and without pain. Saying 'kill' makes it sound like you just want the animal dead. Personally, I usually prefer to say 'kill', because 'put down' just means the same thing. Yes, I am against euthanasia. Here are some euphemisms you can use, but you can also make up your own: put down, put to sleep, put out of misery, and lay down. I hope this helps!

helping sick animals, putting animals down, giving the animal medicine, giving the animal a diet
Euthanasia, often called "putting down", "putting to sleep", or "mercy killing", is the process of terminating the life of a person or animal to relieve pain and suffering.
Its when your pet dies by a vetranarian puts a shot into the animal and it falls asleep and never wakes up (uthinize). That was the bad thing. There is another one where the animal needs surgery and needs to fall asleep to do so.
No. Putting animals down is a very important part of a vet's job. By doing this, you are usually ending the suffering of a very ill animal, and it is your ethical responsibility to act in the best interests of the animal's welfare.
because i dont want to give up
Objections to putting a cow down often stem from ethical concerns regarding animal welfare, as many people believe that animals should be treated with compassion and given the chance for recovery or a natural life. Additionally, some argue that the decision to euthanize should consider the animal's quality of life and the emotional impact on the owner or caretaker. There may also be cultural or religious beliefs that oppose euthanasia in any form, viewing it as an unacceptable act. Finally, economic factors can play a role, as some may prefer to keep the animal for productive purposes rather than incur the costs of euthanasia.
Turn down your high beams and slow way down.
animal shelters try their best not to put animals down due to overcrowding. I have never heard of any shelter putting animals down for this reason, if they have too many they put good home wanted notices in papers and the internet. But, Depending where you are....They do put them down alot due to overcrowding.......Where i live,They put alot down each week.....I have to agree of what they should do....Put notices up...But most shelters just put them down...Its really truly sad :(
It is, when you take it to the vet and he or she agrees that putting it down is the best thing to do. Should you get it into your head to kill it yourself, you will - in most States and countries of the Western world - find yourself in front of a judge on charges of animal cruelty.
