many, if not all medicined that benefit humans have been tested on animals, the problem is that the animal testing doesn't give any accurate results because people are not the same as any of the animals tested on. so it's basically just senseless torture.
Animal experimentation is controversial; when it is done, it is usually best if the animals experience minimal to no pain and that the results of the animal testing have a clear and important benefit to the health and wellbeing of human beings beyond cosmetic purposes. Many people boycott products and companies that make (excessive or any) use of animal testing.
