A cruel or mean leader is someone who exercises authority through intimidation, manipulation, or harsh treatment, often prioritizing their own interests over the well-being of their team. Such leaders may belittle or undermine their subordinates, foster a toxic work environment, and fail to support or empower their employees. Their behavior can lead to low morale, high turnover, and decreased productivity within the organization. Ultimately, their approach undermines trust and collaboration, essential components of effective leadership.
A cruel or mean leader is commonly referred to as a tyrant or despot. They typically rule with authoritarian control and show little compassion or empathy towards their subjects.
