1. Use the three "R"s: Reduce, Re-use and Recycle! 2. Get a blue bin to keep recycling separate from waste. What I have heard is that the most effective thing you can do to recycle is to grow some or all of your food. This is the most effective use of your time and efforts to assist the planet.
