Rhinos are endangered for several reasons. Here are the main ones:

Rhinos don't reproduce very fast. They have only one baby at a time

The places where Rhinos live is shrinking due to humans moving in.

The horns of rhinos are used in folk medicines by humans. Humans kill the rhino and take only the horns, leaving the dead animal behind. Then they powder the horn or scrape it, making shavings. The horn material is then added to food or drink as a medicine. Unfortunately, there is no evidence that rhino horn does any good at all as a medicine.

People also used to use rhino horns to make carvings. Artists would carve the hard horn material into cups or small sculptures and then sell them.

These practices were all done so much that now there aren't very many rhinos left at all, and protecting them is very important.
