Also, just check wikipedia for the answer. The Paleolithic era used crude stone tools, then used those to make things out of wood. They were simply a hunter-gatherer society, nomadic in every aspect, no writing.


Then, simply by getting better at everything, they started building houses, invented pottery, learned cooking better foods, discovered seeds, invented farming, domesticated animals, started organizing people and slowly turning into a society.
