What did God tell the first human beings to do?

God directed the First Man and Woman NOT to eat the fruits on the Tree of Knowledge. They were in a valley and with a cobra or some type of snake, and the snake said, "Go ahead! Eat the fruit, he won't mind!" (At that time snakes weren't slithering on the ground and they could talk) The woman said, "Oh, alright. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to try it?" And God also said that if you ate the fruits from that tree, you would be wise and very smart, but also you will die. The woman gave some fruit to her husband and he tried it. The fruit was very good, but then God came walking around a tree trying to find the man. God then asked, "Why have you eaten off the Tree of Knowledge! You are forbidden to eat on these trees!" Then they spoke and spoke back and forth.

It depends on which scripture you are reading. Each religion has its own scriptures and its own creation stories. In the west, the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) has the Deity telling Adam and Eve to "be fruitful and multiply"-- but it does not specify what that means: we are not told how many kids the ideal couple should have, nor even if the verse means everyone must have kids. When the creation story from the Book of Genesis was first told, it was undoubtedly intended to explain how civilization began, how generations of humans got here, where families came from, etc. It was an era long before scientific study; because most people were illiterate, they relied upon scribes, sages, and religious leaders to help them understand what the Deity wanted them to do.

The first humans were also told to "take dominion" over the earth, but again, it was not specified what that meant. For some cultures, they interpreted this verse as permission to hunt, subdue, and kill certain animals; while for others, it meant being in charge of the earth but protecting and caring for all of God's creation, including birds, beasts of the field, fish, etc. Creation stories are always subject to various interpretations, depending on how literal you are, how well you can read the verses in their original language (in this case, Biblical Hebrew), and what your particular religious tradition tells you they are supposed to mean.

[YGB Young's Bible]: "...'Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it...".I never beleived it but I was told that their are as many planets in the universe as grains of sand on every beach on earth.

when you consider that the man made craft has been travelling for thirty years at astronomical speeds and is now continuing beyond our limits you begin to wonder if religion is a fools world.

We started out as metre long trilobites which is the lowest form of life taking in plankton in one end and pooing out the other then think about being made in gods image.

One theory is scientific and extremely factual where the other is magical and preposterous.
