Umm...that depends on where you live. Were I live now there probably were what we call "Paleo-Indians" at that time. Different lands have been inhabited by different cultures throughout time and sometimes cultures move from one place to another.

4000 years ago the human race was physically pretty much the same as now. Different clothing, technology, and ideas ruled their everyday life, but they were essentially the same as we are now.

What year was the first human?

Modern humans evolved in Africa roughly 250,000 to 400,000 years ago. Before them were less sophisticated humans whose ancestors were primates. All of that evolution occurred 2 million+ years ago. Here's a link.______________________________________________________________Another Answer:Here a chart on humans:Homo Habilis lived 2.3 to 1.4 million years agoHomo antecessor lived 1.2 million to 800,000 years agoHomo Erectus lived 1.8 million to 50,000 years agoHomo neanderthalensis lived 90,000 to 28,000 years agoHomo heidelbergensis lived 500,000 years agoHomo rhodesiensis lived 300,000 years agoCro-Magnon lived 55,000 to 10,000 years ago (Cro-Magnon's were Homo-Sapiens, but were still evolving to become US)Homo sapien idaltu lived 161,000 years ago (oldest representive of the Homo Sapiens species)Homo rudolfensis lived 2.4 and 1.6 million years agoHomo ergaster livedHomo Sapiens Sapiens lived 55,000 ago to nowHomo cepranesis lived 450,000 years agoOk, so based on my observations, 2.4 million years ago, Homo Rudolfensis was running around. And he was before Homo hablis, so that makes him, i guess, the first human.

Were Adam and Eve Cro-magnon?

AnswerTo understand science and religion properly in each case, we must always remember that they address different issues. Science deals with what really happened, while religion tries to explain why we are here and what we should do. We should not think of Adam and Eve as people who really lived in the very recent past, but as representing moral truths. Then we should understand that there is no real meaning in asking what type of humans they were, or would have been if they really lived.
