If humans did not exist the population of other animals that we eat would grow because we are not eating them. There would be a lot less damage to the environment as human activity can tend to affect the environment in many ways (such as pollution, cutting down trees, etc.) Also everything would become overgrown and wild animals all over the place.
There are over 195 countries on Earth where humans inhabit. Each country can have multiple cities and regions where humans live. The total number of inhabited lands would depend on how you define and categorize these regions.
In a biological stand of view, every organism is created from a single cell. Developing of human beings and organisms is usually covered in first few chapters of every general biology textbooks, if you're interested. What if we were not created? I'm sure another organism would take over the dominance over other species just like the humans. The earth would still exist. I'm not getting into religion or philosophy- because if you do, this will become an endless discussion among people with different religion backgrounds and philosophical ideas.

As hunters, early humans would have targeted similar prey species as the smilodon, potentially leading to competition for resources. This competition may have contributed to the decline of the smilodon population.
The quickest and easiest answer is simply "that's the way God made it.", but a more logical answer would be it is that way because if people lived before dinosaurs, the people would have killed them all and then destroy the planet very quickly
