Nowhere. Homosexuality is not a 'fad,' or 'game,' 'movement' or anything else of the sort.

Homosexuality is a completely normal and natural part of the human being. Some people prefer the opposite sex, some prefer the same. It depends on the person, really.

In some men, they are homosexual because of the overdose in feminine hormones his mother's body gave him for any number of reasons, but other than that there really is no telling where it comes from.

Some men or women have traumatizing relationships, memories or situations in their lives that drive them mentally away from the opposite sex, so they turn to their own for relationships. Some, for any number of reasons may find the idea of the opposite genitalia disgusting or disturbing, and some just like the shape of their own gender better.

Some people aren't homosexual, but they fall in love with someone of the same gender and decide they don't want anyone else, ever.

Some people just look for the person they want to spend the rest of their life with, and look wherever they can until they find them.

There are a million variations on the same subject, but no matter where you look, you aren't going to find a 'starting point' to being gay.

*Random fact, there are over 300 species of mammal, primates, fish, and a few birds that also practice homosexuality, and in a few of them, those relationships are life-long.

Homosexuality - innate or acquired?

Current research suggests that sexual orientation, including homosexuality, is likely influenced by a combination of genetic, hormonal, and environmental factors. There is no consensus on whether it is strictly innate or acquired, as it is likely a complex interplay of various factors. Ultimately, it is important to respect and support individuals regardless of the origins of their sexual orientation.

Was homosexuality a cultural phase in ancient Greeks lives?

Many men in Ancient Greece acted as eromenos ("beloved") to older men from puberty to their late 20's, and then acted as erastes ("lover") to younger men. Homosexuality as we know it didn't exist in Ancient Greece. Straight and bisexual men could also take part in these relationships. Some men had homosexual urges for their entire lives. Some men could never have any kind of romantic contact with another man after that.

Is homosexuality a cause of suicide or is it the act of homophobia?

Homosexuality is not a cause of suicide. No one would kill themselves over being gay, unless society made them think that it was a negative thing through homophobic and heterosexist actions and messages. Anti-gay bullying in schools makes many young people believe that suicide is the only way to escape, and in some cases makes them believe that there is actually something wrong with them because they are gay (which is when homophobia and heterosexism have become internalized), because otherwise why would they be being bullied. The continued silence that surrounds homosexuality may also drive some people to suicide because they can not talk about themselves, and feel completely isolated and alone. These are just a few examples of how homophobia and heterosexism drive people to suicide. But, it is homophobia and heterosexism that drive people to suicide, not the mere fact of being gay.
