We really don't know whether occasions were important to Homo habilus because there is not much evidence of their lives that has remained. They may have celebrated many things but just not left a record of their celebrations the way we do today.

Homo habilis did not have cultural or cognitive abilities to mark special occasions like birthdays or holidays. They were focused on survival, hunting, and gathering, and did not engage in complex social behaviors that would warrant special celebrations. Their primary concerns were finding food, shelter, and avoiding predators.

idon't knowthey use technology (But you'd probably have a clue that they did if you recognized that Homo habilis means "handyman" in Latin.)H. habilis left behind flaked stone artifacts that indicate they were competent flint knappers. See link for the rest of this quoted paper. It was the first evidence of our modern genus and was named Homo habilis, which is Latin for "Able Man" (Homo=man; habilis=able). Homo habilis was named so because the artifacts found with the fossils were rudimentary stone tools that had been created from rocks.

Did any hominids exist before the homo sapiens sapiens?

Yes, several species of hominids existed before Homo sapiens sapiens, including Homo neanderthalensis (Neanderthals), Homo erectus, and Homo habilis. These hominids were our evolutionary ancestors and lived at different points in history before the appearance of modern humans.

Homo erectus is also believed to have been the first hominin to have migrated out of Africa.

Who was discovered first homo sapiens or homo neanderthalensis?

Australopithecus Afarensis (Southern Ape, Afar Triangle) were found by a paleoanthropologist named Donald Johansen. Homo Habilis (Handy Man) were found by husband-and-wife Louis and Mary Leakey. Homo Erectus (Upright Man) were found by Eugene Dubois. Homo Sapiens Neanderthalensis (Neanderthals) were found by some mine workers in Germany's Neander Valley. Homo Sapiens Sapiens (Doubly Wise Man) were first found by an eight-year-old Spanish girl named Maria. Lots of big words, but totally worth knowing your monkey uncle. There isn't any possible way to answer your question because your question isn't clear. Are you referring to Homo Sapiens Sapiens, or Homo Sapiens Neanderthalensis? HSS were found in 1879, and HSN were found in 1856, so I guess HSS were found first. As I said before, knowing your monkey uncle is totally worth it.
