Man-made stone structures are impossible to date using carbon dating techniques so archaeologists attempt to date the site of the building by analysing remains of other artefacts found near to said site.

Which is a crazy, lazy and potentially very inaccurate way to date old buildings. It's a bit like me asking an archaeologist to date my 16th century castle who then picks up a basket from my kitchen, a basket made in 2002, and declares that my castle is 7 years old.

In addition to this, and specifically regarding the pyramids of Giza in Egypt, archaeologists have again made huge assumptions about the date of their build and have then presented their theories as facts. In the Great Pyramid there is one inscription baring the name of a Pharaoh. Some say this inscription was actually graffiti from the 18th century. But, whenever it was from, the fact remains that there is no evidence, except for this (so called) "evidence" that links the pyramid to a certain Pharaoh and therefore a certain date.

What can archaeologists learn from mummies?

How they lived, what they ate, their religious beliefs and traditions. Also what they wore, the gods they worshipped and feared and the way they mummified bodies. We can observe the roles within the family and gather information as to who was the boss or the chief of the family.

One who studies artifacts of people?

Archaeologists are scientists who examine objects to learn about the past, people, and cultures. They sift through the dirt of prehistoric camps to find bones, tools, and other objects. For example, bones might tell an archaeologist about the people who lived there. Historians and archaeologistsare different from each other since historians study the written records of human life and accomplishments to understand a society which are its wars, its religion, and its rulers, among other things. Historians also look at what other groups living at the same time wrote about that society as well as the objects discovered by archaeologists to learn about the past. However, archaeologists pretty much rely on their prior knowledge and objects discovered to learn about the past.
