Yes they did:) Im also trying to find more information about it as well but . this is a brief of what they did. The Vikings worshipped their gods by performing animal sacrifice they also occasionally sacrificed humans . sorry its not much but yeah a little :) Okay i have more information : The Vikings usually worshiped their gods in opened air. The Vikings liked most wild landscapes. Here they performed their rituals. The Vikings could consider sacred places like meadows, groves, rocks, hillocks, the shores of swampy lakes .Also, the fields of crops could become the scene of a worshipping ritual as they hoped the gods would bless the fields. Sometimes, the places used for rituals were enclosed with a simple fence made of ropes. Inside this areas considered sacred, no violence was allowed. One could not enter this place with any kind of weapon. The Vikings became Christian around about 1000 A D. Also when a new long boat was made the often did human sacrifice and smeared human blood of the bow of the long boat , to give them care at sea from the gods. There is also according to Norse mythology that Odin himself hanged himself from the world tree Yggdrasil for nine nights to attain divine wisdom. Also Norsemen use to sacrifice there prisoners by hanging them from trees. Its also told that Norse warriors were also buried with slave girls because they believed they would become their wife in Valhalla. Many stories are told that slaves volunteered to die with their masters.
The historic meaning of 1066 is when the Anglo Saxons were invaded by both the Normans and the Vikings. The Anglo Saxons repelled the Vikings but were defeated by the Normans. Also William Duke of Normandy was crowned king of England.
Explorers needed navigational tools like maps, compasses, and astrolabes to find their way. They also needed supplies such as food, water, and medicine to sustain themselves on long journeys, as well as materials for building shelter and making repairs to their boats or equipment. Additionally, knowledge of local languages and customs was essential for effective communication and diplomacy with the people they encountered.

If you're talking about the Viking "long boats", the Vikings used them for raiding foreign lands. Raiding is a form of warfare.
The longboat was so important to Vikings because it traveled them across the sea and took them wherever they needed to be at that time.
Viking boats i believe were called longboats, with a sort of weird swan shaped front and back. The vikings would sit and row in synchronisation at a fast pace, which is why they were superb invaders!
The Vikings had ships called long boats they could fit 40-60 people in one!!!!!
He was a viking so he used a ship. The ships the vikings used for long voyages across the Atlantic were called knarrs. They were cargo ships that were about 54 feet long. They held a crew of about 20-30 vikings.
Vikings traveled in boats that were able to travel the Atlantic Ocean yet handle shallow water. This allowed the Vikings to raid and pillage villages in Britain, Ireland and the European coastline. They also walked and some rode horses.
Having a shallow draught, Viking longboats allowed for sailing or rowing up shallow rivers.
The Vikings used their long boats as cargo vessels. Since these boats were seaworthy and had a shallow enough draft to go far up rivers, the Vikings could trade, or raid, all along the coasts and navigable rivers of Europe. The Vikings are remembered primarily as raiders in France and England, but primarily as traders in parts of Eastern Europe. Their routes went as far as Constantinople, where numbers of them were hired as personal bodyguards for emperors.
Being Nomads the Vikings were always moving around looking for places to pillage and destroy they sailed for a long time and must have found the new world.
