Build temples and planted crops
The Incas all lived in South America. The Maya had been a culture in Central America but that culture had collapsed before the Spanish arrived. The Aztecs ruled Mexico. In the past few years there have been some discoveries that some trade might have existed between the Aztecs and the Incas. No indication has surfaced of any trade between the Incas and Central America.
While Incas did hunt and gather, they were mostly in agricultural society. Their farms did not contain domesticated animals, but some of their staple crops included quinoa, potatoes, and maize.
The Incas had a well-organized system of job specialization. They assigned specific tasks to individuals based on their skills and abilities. Some common specialized jobs in the Inca Empire included farmers, craftsmen, soldiers, administrators, and religious leaders.
The Incas were known for their impressive stonework, including intricately cut and fitted stones in their buildings. They also built extensive road networks, such as the Inca Trail. Additionally, the Inca civilization was centered around the Andes Mountains in South America.
The Incas performed various ceremonies and rituals to honor their deities, ancestors, and nature. Some of these ceremonies included offerings of food, drink, and animals, as well as rituals involving music, dance, and prayers. They also had important ceremonies related to agricultural cycles, like Inti Raymi, the Festival of the Sun.
They had vast cities in the jungle and along the coastal regions. They farmed, traded and fished, and some were artists and poets (a very important part of Inca culture).
