If it smokes at startup only, the valve seals are probably leaking. If it's not smoking too bad, you're ok, but the problem will get worse in time. The cylinder head will need to be removed in order to replace the seals, and while it's removed, you might want to get the valves grinded and the head surfaced.
For a 7.3L DI some smoke is acceptable but when it starts to smell really strong of un-burnt fuel or burning oil typically the valve guide seals are NOT a problem on these models. Each of the 8 injectors have a series of large o'rings which seal the injector into the injector cup. These o'rings seal to the head and seperate oil from fuel and direct it to the correct area of the injector. Over time these o'rings become very brittle and either oil or fuel is seeping past the o'rings and entering the combustion chamber slowly but surely and you have all 8 of them doing this a little then you get the smoke and bad smells from the exhaust. I am very certain this is your problem you will need to remove all the injectors and replace all the old injector o'rings. You can get them at your local Ford dealer. I've done this repair many, many times with success. good luck
If it is white smoke you are burning antifreeze. blue smoke is oil. black smoke is fuel. if it smokes after it is warmed to operating temp. you need to have a mechanic look at it before you have to walk. Smoke right after starting (blue) is usually a sign of valve guide seals going bad.
check radiator for small leaks or cooling lines which would most definitely cause it 2 steam when running after awhile
Probably valve seals but also check the oil drain return holes at the back of the heads, they could be plugged up.
malboro i think you can get them at the corner liquor store.
hell ya he did drugs, how do you think he came up with his ideas Wow, a lot of misinformation coming from this contributor! There is not a single shred of evidence that Leonardo EVER did drugs.
Blown head gasket or cracked head.
Have you spilt some on the radiator?
There's a problem with the wiring and something is getting burned. Call an electrician immediately or risk your house burning down.
I would think oil is burning
It is not confirmed what Synyster Gates smells like. Most fans assume he smells like a normal person, or like cigarettes as he smokes.
cause it good yeah man _________________ Smokes good, smells great and leaves you feeling better.
A lot of people smoke. Smoking is kinda dangerouse to the lungs , it can cause lung cancer. Almost everyone smokes.
When you see white or grey smoke coming out the exhaust more than likely you have water in your engine. when it first begins it smokes a little but when the problem gets worse, it will smoke alot. Your head is either cracked or warped, this will cause your engine to get real hot.
its burning oil and needs new piston rings
It is possible that oil is seeping past the valve guides and into the combustion chamber. If your are burning oil, this is more likely the cause. Replacing the worn our valve will fix the problem.?æ
that doesnt make sense! do you mean does rob van dam smoke weed? i have a feeling that he does not Yes RVD smokes pot lol. Anyone who follows him knows that. Hell anyone who follows wrestling may know that.
It has a leak in the Cooling System Somewhere, It might have a cracked Head or a Blown gasket
