Remove the battery and take it to a car parts store (kragen, etc) and have them test your battery. The process is quick and should be complimentary.
As long as you can get the car to power up (the lights and accessories come on in the RUN/Battery position), you can plug in a diagnostic scanner in and retrieve fault codes. You do not need the engine running. If the car cannot power up, then the computer cannot turn on and the scanner cannot access the fault codes. In this case, you need to find out why the car isn't getting power before you can use the computer to diagnose any problems.
Maybe you need to check the oil The oil light will stay on until the engine starts. If the oil light was on when it was running and now it will not start then you may have internal engine damage. Take it to a professional.
It could be the starter.. It could be several things. There are shops that will diagnose the problem without charging you. I would call a couple shops and ask if they provide that service. Or they may charge a small fee.
Probably a bad ground from the battery to engine/body.
What this usually means is that there is an ignition coil that is going bad or is bad. The TCS light will come on because one of the cylinders are misfiring. When the car senses this, it detects this misfire as "slippery conditions" and the TCS lite will engage. Take it to an autozone and have them diagnose which cylinder is misfiring. Then replace the ignition coil for that cylinder. Dont let the fact that the engine has a cover over it scare you. A 10MM socket wrench will get that right off. Its only 4 nuts. Using that same size socket wrench will loosen the bolt that holds the ingntion coil intact to the engine. Once you replace that coil, put that cover back on, you will be good to go!
Have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
If the abs and check engine lights are on there is a problem. Both computers should have codes stored in there memories. Have the codes read. You can then diagnose the cause.
If the engine isn't running, the battery is low. If the engine is running, the alternator probably has a problem. If you are wearing dark sunglasses, remove them and the lights will get brighter. good luck!
In my venture ther is a switch on the overhead console that disables the inside lights.
Hi, You didn't mention exactly what lights you are interested in, but I have included a link to the fuse boxes for the 2001 Venture. Good Luck, Greg
Warning lights on a Peugeot 307 can mean anything from low tire pressure to an engine misfire or overheating. An OBDII code reader can be connected to the vehicle to read and diagnose the warnings.
They can mean a number of things, such as an engine issue or part failure. A mechanic has a computer that can interpret and diagnose the reason for the light coming on.
There are pages and pages of things that can turn on those lights, you need to have it checked for codes with a scan tool and can diagnose from there.

If the brake lights do not work on Chevy Venture van 2000, try to disconnect the brake switch. Then short the two contacts of the connector to check if the brake lights are now working.
