check your fuses
try putting vehicle in neutral, then shutting vehicle off. then try putting in park
if this works it is a fuse or the neutal safety switch

check your oil level. if it is low add some. your oil pressure sensor may be faulty, or you could have clogged oil passages. if you change your own oil, put some lestiol in your engine just before you do your next oil change. drive the car for about 5 miles, then come home and change the oil. htis might fix your problem.
you can drive with radiator boiling but will do damage to engine if driven far better to let vehicle cool down, refill with coolant to get it to shop and have problem fixed or call a wrecker to tow it
to keep it simple do a tranny pan drob and replace tranny filter, this may or may not correct the problem

IDE 0 always has the designation C. Its a throwback to the days when computers were single or dual floppy drive only and they had (and still have) designations A and B. Hook up the external drive, go into the BIOS and select the external as the drive to boot from. Save the change and allow the computer to boot. Load the OS and it should defer to the external drive.
