Absolutely - both of those items will and can affect the control of your vehicle. Proper maintenance of these items is essential for YOUR safety as well as others, too.
Shocks are exactly what it sounds like. Especially if the bushings are older and dried out.
Out of alignment or bad shocks or struts
check your idler arm for play, these blazers are known for that, check your pit man arm coming down from your steering box, front sway bar bolt & bushings and rear bushings
after shocks can be deadly - sometimes as bad as the earthquake itself!
Front end is out of alignment and critical parts such as tie rod ends or bushings may be loose or close to failure, also bad wheel bearings can cause it. Often that kind of problem is caused by loose ball joints or worn suspension component bushings.
Most definitely.
Worn out shocks perhaps. Could be bad suspension bushings too.
Check the shocks first they will squeak pretty bad when going out ( dried out seals ). Bushings will squeak but they would have to be pretty bad to do it when just pushing on the front end.
I am asked to change my shocks as it is worn out. It is 10 years old car. Do I seriously need to change the shocks. I have a plan to use it for one more year. Is this dangerous to use with bad shocks. Please answer me somebody who is expert.
I paid $900 for shocks/struts and bushings. I was told that was the "brother in law" discount.
It is most definately dangerous.
since they are dangerous like you
The worst danger is death, heart failure and dangerous burns are also pretty bad side-effects!
Bad shocks
Extremely worn or loose shocks, bad upper or lower ball joints, worn control arm bushings.
Ack! Rathburn bushings are a very, very bad thing to use on a clock.
Bad shocks, ball joints bad, tires out of balance. More then likely shocks.
