No! People just buy them because everyone has them and if you ain't got no iPod you are a low-life loser. They are over expensive and bad for your brain. don't feel like you need one.
I also say No. They are just a rip off fad and i would be too ashamed to have one when kids are eating out of dumpsters. My phone was 40.00 new and has more features than i will ever use but I know opinions will vary.
As the original responder said, opinions will vary. My personal experience with Apple products has been very good. I own an iPod Third Generation, and a Macbook Air, and both still work as well as they did when brand new. Apple makes their products to the highest standard, which is why the expenses are hiked up. I would consider the cost a tad overpriced, but worth it.
It should also be noted that there are many other quality products on the market, so you should give each brand a look-in. However I would recommend Apple as their merchandise lasts a long time.

I also don't think the 3g versions are worth it either. unless you use it for business your not really going to take it anywhere. So i say if you have the money, buy the 16Gb version with only WiFi because 16Gb is plenty of room and 3g is a waste of money on a tablet.
