Im not completely sure but i think its the same reason why any artists work (music, art, drama) is more popular after they died because after they're dead, work like that can never be made again, making it, kind of like a collectible, so many people want it. like mozart. he died poor because people didn't appreciate his work but after he died no more like that would be composed. same with Rembrandt.
