No, however it's not a matter of replacing. The CAS or close air support role, requires detailed integration of many assets each bringing their own pro's and con's to the fight. It also depends on the threat, terrain, etc. Not to mention the amount of ordnance the hog can bring to the fight, extended loiter time, durability, and overall fire power. The bottom line, both are integral parts of the CAS war!

The English army had a great success with longbow archery during the Hundred Years' War against the French. During this war the longbow was very important in the battle of Crécy and in the battle of Agincourt.
The longbow could reach far out and also penetrate armour of those days and kill horses. Cavalry was feared by common soldiers and the longbow was their protection .

A longbow is a type of bow made from a single natural piece of wood that is roughly equal to the height of a person who uses it. The English used massed longbows to great effect during the Hundred Years' War, against the French, particularly at the start of the war in the battles of Crecy (1346) and Poitiers (1356), and most famously at the Battle of Agincourt (1415). An archers trained in using the longbow is called a longbowman.
