I would suggest that if you DO want to put your camera in your carry-on luggage, do NOT have any film in the camera, NOR in your carry-on, as the bag will go through X-ray and ruin the film. Pack ALL film in your CHECKED luggage. THOSE bags do not go through the same X-ray.
