Someone could but I know of no one that would go through the extremely difficult procedure to do so. The ECM is probably bad. If someone wanted to sabotage it, they would need to have access to the vehicle to remove the ECM< then have the equipment to disable one feature.
Pulse-code modulation (PCM) is a method used to digitally represent analog signals.
I have seen in a few rare instances where an failed power steering pressure sensor/switch allows oil into the wire harness and that travels into the pcm
PCM = Per Calender Month so if u have 847pcm, that's how much u pay per month. of the calender
No It wouldn't
AnswerIt reads the position and/or speed of an engine as it is rotating. When crankshaft is turning, the sensor will provide a signal to the PCM. The PCM will then allow the engine to start by providing spark and fuel.
No bus means there is no signal from the PCM,most likely a bad PCM,but check all your fuses and connections on PCM
P1694 - No CCD message received from ECM. This is a bus communication failure between the PCM and ECMP1694 - No CCD message received from ECM. This is a bus communication failure between the PCM and ECM
No bus means that there is an open circut between the bcm & the pcm ae open or loose wires
The answer is : There is a loose wire by the computer harness that causes a lost communication.
get a pcm tune. you can either have someone with a tuner do it or but a mail order pcm from overkill, dhp, zzp, etc.
P1698-NO BUS MESSAGE FROM TCM Possible causes Wiring harness intermittent problem No bus message from transmission Pcm pci bus circuit open I have personally found that a bad ground for the ecm will also cause this.
My book says it's PCM Failure EEPROM Write Denied - Unsuccessful attempt to write to an EEPROM location by to PCM. EEPROM = Electrical Erasable Programmable Read Only Mamory. PCM = Powertrain Control Module. Hope this helps.
Loss of Camshaft or Crankshaft sensor read at the PCM.
you cant. it is controlled by the pcm. if someone says you can adjust the ignitor, they are full of it
The "BUS" is the system Chrysler uses for it's computers to communicate on this truck. The error in the odometer means that the cluster is not receiving any messages. Any of the computers on the truck can bring down the BUS. ie pcm, abs, airbag, ctm, cluster, overhead mssg center, etc... The wiring in between can also be the cause. The "BUS" is the system Chrysler uses for it's computers to communicate on this truck. THE PCM IS ON THE PSSENGER FIREWALL THE PCM IS ON THE PSSENGER FIREWALL
This code appears on the odometer display. It is actually "NO BUS", meaning that the communication "bus" (or data path) has been interrupted between the vehicle's powertrain control module (PCM, Main computer) and the dashboard processor (mini computer). On my Durango, the cause was a faulty PCM. Other sysmtoms included having the truck shut down randomly and "check engine" light coming on, but throwing no code at the OBD-II port. Check the connections on the PCM (there should be 3). It is probably mounted in the engine compartment, above the passenger wheel well. If the connections are good, and you can't find any other disconnected wires, it's probably the PCM. A dealer/mechanic must change it, because it needs to be programmed by Chrysler with VIN and mileage. I paid $800. Good luck! I would suggest that, instead of relying on the previous posters answer you get someone to check the actual connections to and from the components. In my case it was a wire that had rubbed through the insulation. A simple fix that didn't even cost 8 cents.
