Hi , First of all it's Contractor's responsibility to check out the all Contract drawings prior to starting of the Work and in case of any discrepancies , Contractor must raise it officially to the knowledge of the Engineer and keep it for record as the same might required modifications , redesign , changing the type of Foundations , .... Should the contractor proceeds with the other Work that have nothing to do with the discovered discrepancies unless it do affect the Work commencement and hence the Work will be kept on Hold until receiving the Engineer revised Drawings that cover the discrepancies

In many cases Contractor fails to discover those discrepancies on the right time and brought it to the knowledge of the Engineer at last moment while the same activity that included the discovered discrepancies is due , hence time required by the Engineer / associated with redesign ,.... won't be considered as time extension as it is Contractor's Mistake

Anyway , once Contractor receive the revised drawings that clear the discrepancies , should he study it very carefully and thoroughly to find out the changes that might considered as additional Works to the Contract Scope of Work and submitted as VOR for the Engineer's Approval , hoping the same covers your question Akram Abdellatif ( Al Suweidi Consultants Bureau )

What is the relationship between the structural integrity of walls and the presence of filaments in architectural design?

The structural integrity of walls is influenced by the presence of filaments in architectural design. Filaments, such as steel reinforcement bars or carbon fibers, can enhance the strength and stability of walls, making them more resistant to forces like wind or earthquakes. By incorporating filaments into the design, architects can ensure that walls are able to support the weight of the building and withstand external pressures, ultimately contributing to the overall structural integrity of the construction.
