For example if you are someone who has no contact with the public and you get a sensible tattoo on your forearm then you would have a good case of unfair dismissal,unless of course your State is an "at will" State then the employer can fire you without notice and without giving you any reason what so ever.. However if you are someone who deals with the public and you get an obsene tattoo on your forehead then you deserved what you got..
