But the general rule is that you may only hold one voucher at a time. Let's say, for example: you are on a waiting list of a different Housing Authority from the one that issued you a voucher, and is not likely that the issuing Housing Authority is going to allow you to port to the new jurisdiction because it is more expensive. So you allow your needing to remain on the other waiting list and it comes . If this happens you would have to let go of the first voucher and use the second one.
