You physically CAN, but I wouldn't... I wouldn't swim in anything only a day after. They can get infected by your clothes rubbing against them, I wouldn't chance a dip in fish poo infested water. It's not a good idea. You're almost certain to get an infection. I am lifeguard and a competative swimmer so I had to get back in the water within a week of piercing my belly button. I recommened using Tagaderm which is a clear bandage that moves with your skin and will protect it from anything in the water. You can get it from any Rite Aid or Walgreens type store in the bandaid department.
You should not go swimming with a fresh piercing. Whether you go swimming in a lake or pool, they both contain bacteria, protozoa, and parasites1 which can infect your new piercing.
In fact, it is recommended that you keep a fresh piercing dry as long as possible to aid with healing.
Please be sure to read piercing aftercare instructions and follow them carefully or you risk major infections, scarring, and loss of the piercing.

NO! Being a boy who likes boys makes you gay, or a girl who likes girls. No piercing, tattoo or fashion statement is standardized marker for gay identity. Pierce what you like!
Hi I have my ears, tragus and belly pierced too! Next i was thinkin about getting my tongue and hips done if that helps you at all . . .
Yes. Often times people have a bit of a lisp right after they get their tongue pierced. The more you talk, the faster you'll get used to it and it'll heal so don't let that stop you. It sounds something like a person with teeth retainer on!
No.
It absolutely matters. If you pierce the wrong side, you will be subject to ridicule and embarrassment for as long as you possess the piercing.
I have had my Tragus pierced on both ears, and went swimming almost right after getting the piercing. Mine was fine.
Yes,Miley Cyrus does have her ears pierced. She has her upper right ear pierced, and down low pierced two times. She has her left ear pierced down low.She also has her bellybutton pierced.
well...not a hole but your bellybutton may cave in or out, but not a hole. It would go right through you! !
For most people after having their stomach pierced it wont hurt. However, some people may experience some pain. While it may not hurt right after having your body pierced, there could be some pain later on. I personally recommend that you don't rub/ lay anything over the area where you have been pierced as this has the potential to cause even more pain.
No. Nothing can make you gay. You are either born gay or you're not.
Right above your bellybutton more on the left side
That is urban legend, you are looking too far for meanings that just are not there.
It Means She Only Had Her Left Ear Pierced Because She Was A Wimp And Was Too Scared To Get The Right One. =] *********** Actually that might not be true. I am thinking of only getting one ear pierced and it's not cause i'm a wimp
Any piercing is going to hurt. How badly it hurts varies from person to person.
yes, typically it would be nicer to see a guy have both ears pierced. it looks a bit off balance when one is pierced. and remember this if you plan on getting one ear pierced - the left one is for straight guys, and right one is for gay guys. (its a silent rule)
Go swimming right away just be sure to wash the piercings out once you are done for the day, be sure the pool is chlorinated.
Wait at least 2 months before you actually get the piercing wet. Before that, you can swim as long as you dont get your ears wet. Be sure to clean them well afterwards too. Water if filthy, and if you go swimming earlier, you increase the risk of infection.
