If you mean 'jumpstart' as in, 'with battery cables,' yes, absolutely. In fact, this would be the preferred method of emergency-starting a vehicle with a dead battery.
If, however, you mean to 'pushstart' an automatic transmission vehicle, DON'T!! It can be done, but the risk of damage to the transmission is so high that it should only be done in extreme emergency.

∙ 15y agoyes, but i have to say i do not suggest jump starting another car or the equinox whenever possible. the bcm - body control modual is EXTREMELY sensitive to electric surges.. and specially the factory battery. you can fry it very very easy!! in order to jump it, remove the fuse cover and you will find a post on the right side that is the positive. ground it some where on the car and jump as usual
