You can use any kind of enamel paint, but I would recommend an oil based paint, remove all oil, dirt, grease, dust and simply paint. (spray painting will give you a better finish)
You shouldn't do this. Where verdigris is thickest is where your copper pipe is going to soon have a pinhole leak. If you paint it, it's much harder to fix in emergency.

Leonardo da Vinci did not typically paint on copper; he primarily used wood panels and canvas for his artworks. However, there are instances in the Renaissance when artists experimented with various materials, including copper, but Leonardo is not known for this practice. His most famous works, like the "Mona Lisa" and "The Last Supper," were created on wood and wall frescoes, respectively.
Assuming you have prepped the cabinets for a new coat of paint (i.e., you primed it correctly) you can add the glaze directly to the new paint color, at whatever ratio you want, for color and effect. (This saves a step). If you're looking for totallly consistent coverage, then add the glaze after you've just painted, while the paint is still a little wet. In addition to this, I also used a copper metallic paint on one wall, with a glaze added to lighten the intense color of the copper. It really worked well. If you want your glaze w/slight color, then add a touch of color (i.e., the paint) directly to it and save yourself a step.

Using copper exterior paint for a building's facade offers several benefits. Copper is a durable material that resists corrosion and weathering, providing long-lasting protection for the building. It also has antimicrobial properties, which can help prevent the growth of mold and bacteria on the surface. Additionally, copper paint can give the building a unique and attractive appearance, as it develops a natural patina over time.
