I suspect from your question that your seat belt has a tensioning system that interacts with the air bag system. And I also suspect that where you live there is a safety inspection of sorts. Well anyway the answer is probably yes. I have seen where a vehicle can pass a safety inspection with the air bag system light on and the car passed. BUT WHY IN THE WORLD ONE NOT ALL THE SAFETY THEY COULD RELIABLY GET. AND REMEMBER IF THE AIR BAG ON THE STEERING WHEEL WENT OFF THERE'S A CHANCE THE HORN BUTTON MIGHT WORK

How do you replace a serpentine belt on a 1999 Hyundai Elantra?

There is none. Each driven accessory has its own drive belt. Unless you are He-Man, you will not be able to install the belts in the wrong location. Just be sure they are on straight and not crossing over to drive the wrong accessory.Stocker @ http://www.rdtiburon.com/David @ http://votefordavid.blogspot.com

Hyundai elantra gls just replaced all belts and still squealing how would you resolve this matter?

If the belts are new and tight then one of the driven accessories is having bearing trouble, try to track it down by listening to where the noise is coming from and then with the belt off turn the pulley checking for resistance or side to side play.

If a 2000 Elantra airbags are deployed and seat belts are locked how do you replace the seatbelts and will the seatbelts work if airbag light is still on?

Replacing the seatbelts involves removing several interior trim panels, unfortunately almost all of them, starting from the front. If the seatbelt will no longer retract, it is non-functioning and needs replacement. Seat belts should ALWAYS be replaced after an accident involving airbag deployment. The airbag light is telling you the dealer or a qualified mechanic needs to do some slightly dangerous work replacing the airbags and the airbag controller.
