AnswerTempera paint is washable and easy to clean up with soap and water. However, I have found that it does tend to leave a residue of color on some objects such as paint trays, and it often stays around for several washes on the paint cloths I use.Adding a small amount of dish soap to tempera paint before use makes it easier to remove if spilled on clothing , rugs, or furniture.
That is paint which you cannot wash. Very few modern paints are like that.
Well yes. Any good paint that is labeled "satin" or "semi-gloss" is nicely washable. Of course, high gloss enamel is highly washable, but I do not think that is what you are after. The semi gloss is especially appropriate for children's rooms because of it's tough wear.
:) Personally, I wouldn't use paint to customize my shoes, since after awhile the paint will wear out and eventually change the colour of your shoes. But! If you truly want too, find some simple "Air Brush" paint. :D that is non washable, and that should work out gorgeously for you!

Craft paint on a latex based wall will be fine in the humidity, however, it will only be lightly washable. To make it fully washable and water resistant use a roller to seal the entire mural with a water based poly. The lower the luster, the better the mural will show. Pre test the craft paints to see what if any colour shifts you will get when you seal it.
