All Characters- Go to character select and click on all boxes with characters and missing characters. Then press back then go into character select again. Select your character and start the race. There will be a noise when it starts. That means it worked.

There is no Mario Kart 7 friend code. Mario Kart 7 interfaces with you 3DS friend list, so all of the friends that you have registered on your 3DS show up in Mario Kart 7. You can find your 3DS Friend Code by going to the home screen and touching the small smiley face at the top. Scroll over one to the right, and it will list your friend code at the bottom of the top screen.
