10 years old, its had a bit of wear, 100,000 or more. A petrol engine should show about 130 psi. If any one cylinder is below 123 psi its time for concern. Remember, commpression testing is done with a compression tester, not your thumb. All plugs out, not just the one being tested
compression
compression wave is a wave like a sound wave
I believe that it would be density. The more dense a sample is the more compact the molecules are. The description of compression is to reduce by volume, so the ability to withstand compression would be the lack of room to do the compression. Can anyone add to this?
Reverse failts are caused by compression. Normal faults however are formed by tension.
AGE ! if it is low compression and not no compression then your piston rings and valves are worn too much and the engine probably needs to be rebuilt.
The 2000 Mustang V6 Compression is: 9.36:1 The 200 Mustang V8 Compression is: 9.0:1
125 psi
110 to 120 psi
Compression yes, spark no computer will sense cams and not fire the motor.
do a compression check on each cyl.
100-125 psi
blown piston
Check for: fuel, spark, compression
No. SPIHT and JPEG are two different compression algorithms.
Before the year 2000 it would be 150 PSI/ pounds per squire inch. After 2000 it would be 100 PSI.
Usually no compression is a mechanical failure. Probably the timing belt, May also have bent valves.Usually no compression is a mechanical failure. Probably the timing belt, May also have bent valves.
