Yes, in fact he and his crew had two jolly rogers. One depicted Bart and a skeleton with a spear, and they are both holding up an hour glass. The meaning of this flag was possibly to show a casual attitude about the young death that came to most men in the pirating business. The other just had Bart standing with each foot on a skull and a sword in his right hand. Under the one skull were the letters ABH and under the other read AMH, meaning a Barbadian's head and a Martinico's head. Bart swore vengance on people from Barbadoes and Martinique who had done him wrong.

Who commanded the jolly roger?

The Jolly Roger was a nickname for the all known pirate symbol. Each band had its own flag. Some even flew the Jolly Rouge, wich was red and meant "no quarter" wich means they wont leaveyou with anything but a dingy, they will take all you have. Back to the Q though, no one sailed the jolly Roger, it was a flag, not a boat.

What is the flag that pirates sail on?

Pirates of the 17th & 18th centuries often flew a black flag, indicating allegiance to no country. In the early 1700's, many began using emblems meant to cause fear, such as a devil with an hourglass ("time is running out"), or a skull and crossbones ("surrender or die"). The skull and crossbones came to be known as the Jolly Roger. Many pirates had their own unique design. Another tactic that was often used by pirates was to have a chest with several national flags. When approaching a target ship, they would fly the flag of a friendly nation to put them at ease, then raise the Jolly Roger once they got close. Sometimes the victims would surrender, or jump overboard, rather than engaging in battle; then the pirates could take the booty without a fight-- easy money!
