they are different because extinct is when a species is completely died out and endangered is when a species is reduced and may die out.

This question's answer is more philosophical and/or political than exact. Often an animal/plant first placed on an endangered list later becomes extinct, on the other hand due to various circumstances they are taken off the endangered list and thrive in their habitat. It is really impossible to say an endangered animal later becomes extinct. I can expound on this and get into some kind of debate but that will not answer the question :-;)

Extinct species are gone. Endangered species will soon be gone if they are not protected (and possibly bred in captivity.)

I'm not 100% sure what an exotic species is, but I think it's a species not found in very many places. I do know that an endangered species is a species that is getting close to extintion.
