Well I'd say it's because of the angle of the plates and when one plate collides into another it sub-ducts underneath the plate, which causes the "uplift" and mainly the cause of violent earthquakes.
Plate Tectonics is a destructive force because it contributes to disintegration or the earth lithosphere, however this theory explain why earthquake and volcano occur.

Yes they do unless the void is cranked in the lid
i do not know
Yes.
Divergent boundaries - two plates Pull away from each other. Convergent boundaries - when two plates collide forming trenches or causing earthquakes. Tranform boundaries - two plates slide past each other
earthquakes only happen at the edge of tectonic plates because of them moving which causes the 'quake' so there are never any BIG earthquakes in the UK because it is in the middle of a tectonic plate
Any type of plate boundary can cause an earthquake. That said, areas along convergent, divergent, and transform tectonic plate boundaries are the most likely places for earthquakes to occur.
Earthquakes occur at all plate boundaries.
Plate Boundaries
they are mainly conservative plate boundaries but can be all but constructive plate boundarys by callum 11
they cause earthquakes
they cause earthquakes
yes
Transform Boundaries are the cause of earthquakes.

The main cause of earthquakes is when there is a sudden movement of various plate boundaries or when plates scrape against each other. Some earthquakes are also caused from old plate boundaries or faults. Many earthquakes happen at faults, such as the San Andreas Fault in California.
Earthquakes can occur at any type of plate boundary, but the most powerful earthquakes tend to occur at convergent boundaries and at transform boundaries.
a plate boundary there are constructive plate boundaries, destructive plate boundaries, conservative plate boundaries and collision plate boundaries
mountains are usually formed on plate boundaries because earthquakes happen at plate boundaries. earthquakes can form mountains.
Earthquakes are really the result of plate tectonics, not the cause. The moving plates touch at their boundaries and then occasionally suddenly slip. The sudden slip are the earthquakes.
