Lady beetles get into my attic eaves to hibernate during winter. They exude a "nutty" odor which attracts the colony. This past spring I began experiencing issues with pesky squirrel which managed at least once to get in by slipping between staples holding down the screening. I found evidence where the squirrel snacked on the lady beetles, and that is all it seems to have done; now the squirrel is literally tearing my house apart trying to get back in after I reinforced the screening.
