There are MANY forms of exercise which help the health of the body in many ways.

Cardiovascular exercise primarily assists with increased flow and oxygenation of the bloodstream. Increased blood flow helps to push open clogged arteries throughout the body. There are many other benefits of 'cardio' exercise and are all positive (considering that the exercise be done safely and appropriately).

Memorization is another form of exercise which is beneficial to the body in that increased chemical synapses (caused by learning or memorizing something new) allow the neurons of the central nervous system to form interconnected neural circuits. They are thus crucial to the biological computations that underlie perception and thought.
