A person with a non-functioning SA node may live out their life normally, since there are other cells in the heart that possess pacemaker capabilities. The heart would continue to beat in this situation, although at a slower pace.

You can function with no heart. But that will be purely mechanical work. Brain without the heart is useless. You can be nuisance to the society you live in. You can not live without the society. So you must strive hard to work for the welfare of the society. It is immoral to when you work for selfish end and you are botheration to the society.

I think it's possible for a genetic defect to happen where the heart doesn't actually develop, but I doubt the fetus would be alive by the time birth happens. It is possible to be born without parts of the heart (like one valve) and live.

The heart is the second most important organ to keep the blood running through the veins. A knife, bullet or any other weapon to the heart will be fatal to the victim.
