The plates are floating on magma, and will eventually melt as they are subducted back into the mantle, just like ice melting as it floats in the water.
Move up and down but stay in the same position
There is a theory of continental drift by Wegener. He thought that underneath where we stand (continental crust) is magma (lava). You know sometimes there are lily pads in the pond floating on the water and drifting, bumping, and pulling away from each other? That's just like the theory. Continental crust is divided into 7 different plates. When the plates are moving together, it's called a convergent boundary (convergent sounds like connected). When plates are moving apart, this is called a divergent boundary (divergent sounds like divided). The reason they call it continental drift is because the plates are slowly drifting. Sometimes, instead of convergent boundaries where the plates are slipping under each other and creating mountains and hills, they bump into each other. This causes an earthquake. The exact beginning of an earthquake is called an epicenter. Wegener's theory being supported is called plate tectonics.
Borden-Pond House was created in 1856.
Ponds are smaller versions of lakes. They can range in size from a little fish pond to huge; almost as big as a lake. Our neighbor has a pond and we live in Texas. There are many in Texas.

Call the police.
You can find it at the top floating around but you need a microscope to look at them.
well they will suck water and die.
the plants at the bottom of the pond cannot photosynthesize and die as the floating plants are blocking the sunlight from reaching the plants at the bottom.the whole community of organisms there will be affected.

Yes.
Yes, a pond weed is adapted to live in a school pond. But pond weeds occupy certain positions that must be respected for the transplant to survive. For example, water milfoil (Myrophyllum spp), water fern (Azolla spp), waterlilies, and cattails (Typha spp) serve as respectively submerged, floating, emergent, and marginal plants.
