In 1864 he was sent to a boarding school in Zevenbergen and began drawing for the first time. He later worked in his uncle's art galleries. Van Gogh was at one time a preacher, a bookseller, a teacher and an art dealer before becoming an artist. He attended several art schools to learn how to paint. He also had help from his friends, Gaughin, Seurat, Pissaro and Rousseau in learning art.
Painting a copy of a van Gogh painmting and selling it as the original is illegal.
He learnt some from his mother, but most from a relative of his who was a professional artist, Anton Mauve.

general rule of thumb you can paint on anything with acrylic, but it certainly depends on your style. you will always need to prime your support before painting, use a waterbased Gesso, you can find this in all good art stores. Once your support is primed go and paint! I would choose something a little thicker that copy paper how ever ;)
Still looking for the answer, but found that you can buy a new 16 x 20 version of this painting from art.com. I also have an old copy so am curious as to value. The correct answer is H.G. Plumb "The Five Senses".

I just got a Paul N. Norton watercolor painting Misty Morn at Mystic. I do not know if this is the original painting. Can somebody help me to determine if this is the original copy?
No, it is not illegal to paint from a photo unless the photo is copyrighted and you do not have permission to use it. If you are using your own photos or photos that are in the public domain, you should be fine.
first of all, the use of it is to copy a color if you didn't already know, but to use it, you select it by clicking on it, then click on the color you want to copy. then you click on another tool, and begin painting with that color!
Take the painting to an art dealer. They will be able to inspect it and tell you if it's an original or copy.
Copy . Paste .
First, you need to get a sprite sheet. then you outline the sprite. open Apple works Painting & Presentation Copy the sprite paste it on the Painting Paint any unwanted space away copy paste on presentation try to keep all of your sprites in place Walla! That's how you make a sprite movie on a Mac
I have that painting too! Or a copy of it.
