to lower the rear end you can use blocks but you may have to put the leaf springs under the axle from what i know rangers come stock with the leafs above the axle to do this right you need to eather get some new spring perches and weld them where u need them or you can buy a kit that has a thick u shaped piece of medal that replaces the perch with no welding but when you do this you may not need bloocks it will lower the truck about 2 inches
