The Polaroid camera declined in popularity with the widespread availability of digital cameras. Digital cameras became mainstream around the year 2003.

Press menu button to quit the menu.
In digital photography, metadata is the information describing the image and stored with it - either in the same file, or along side it (in a database or in a companion file). Some of this data comes directly from the camera that took the pictures: date, time, exposure, aperture, ISO, camera and lens model, etc. Some is added by the photographer during post-processing: title, location, scene, key words, etc.
One answerThere are two kinds of date stamps. What I call the old way is to add the date to a corner of the image , which creates problems if you don't always want it to show in a print. Many cameras these days produce files which contain EXIF information. That means the date, time (and a lot of other information: camera model, settings at the time) are inside of the file, where they are not seen in the image, but can be displayed to the side by the editior. If you really want the date in the picture you can always add it by inserting text. But often you can put it in a caption under the photo. So which way is better for you? When you decide that, you can look for whether certain cameras do a "stamp" or insert EXIF info. User:Srobidoux15:19, 24 Sep 2007 (UTC) srobidoux@verizon.net

Yes in fact, the first camera was made by Chinese man Mo Ti in 5th century B.C!!! Modern photography was invented in France by 1826 (a recent photo discovery suggests a camera may have existed prior to that date). Usually the first photograph is attributed to French inventor Joseph Nicéphore Niépce. He worked with Louis Daguerre to refine and improve the devices and development process. Niépce died in 1833; by 1839 Daguerre had a system involving silver nitrate, iodine and mercury fumes to produce an image on a copper plate, called a Daguerrotype. The French government bought the patent from Daguerre and declared it public domain to encourage use and development. Among other milestones, Fenton photographed the Crimean War in 1855, and photographers including Matthew Harrison Brady photographed the American Civil War, 1861-1865. Photographs of every U.S. president exist after 1852, and a very aged John Quincy Adams was photographed in 1843. George Eastman patented roll film in 1888, with a camera to use it, and popular photography was born. By 1892, motion pictures had been invented. So, yes, "they" had cameras in the 1900s.
No, developing a disposable camera after the expiration date may result in poor image quality or no images at all. It is recommended to use the camera before the expiration date for best results.
