There are two ways:
1) By generating a sea wave called a tsunami, which when entering shallower water can become a towering mass of water that washes away coastal communities and can even reach several miles inland.
2) By releasing vast amounts of floodwaters from rivers and lakes, through the destruction of dams or natural barriers. In several notable disasters, quakes triggered landslides that shoved huge quantities of water out of deep lakes or reservoirs, washing away entire towns downstream. Volcanic activity is sometimes related to this type of quake.
i think is because of the plates hit together and spreads to the bottom of the sea floor it creates a rippled reaction which creates a big wave and that's how it works
Earthquakes are one (but not the only) cause of tsunamis.
It can cause earthquakes, volcanoes, oceanic trenches, mountains, tsunamis, and subduction.
Earthquakes can cause a volcano to erupt.
It all depends on how big the fault is, bigger ones will cause bigger earthquakes, while smaller, or small ones may cause no earthquake at all.
earthquakes normally cause tsunamis to occur
Of these things, earthquakes are the only ones that can cause tsunamis.
it doesn't always happen but if the earthquake was underwater two it would cause a tsunami ( a really big wave) and flood the city/town.
Not all. Only if an earthquake happens in a country where it is located by water; then the earthquake can cause disturbance to that body of water.
heavey rain and earthquakes
No, lightning does not cause earthquakes.
Floods, forest fires, and earthquakes are referred to as natural disasters.
Earthquakes have a geological cause.
Earthquakes are one (but not the only) cause of tsunamis.
Being gay cannot cause earthquakes.
No. See the related question below for what does cause earthquakes.
He saw that faults were a major cause cause of earthquakes
Yes. The actions of people can cause earthquakes with detonation of explosives or nuclear weapons.
