It's not that Republicans are crooks, it's just that they have different views and appeal to a different crowd than that of the Democrats. Republicans believe that the average American should be taxed more than businesses. They believe that businesses should pay less taxes because the less taxes they pay the more jobs they create-- theoretically. A lot tax payers feel like they're being stolen and cheated on when they pay more taxes (% wise) than millionaires. Democrats believe that the average American should pay less taxes than businesses. This makes a lot of tax payers feel that they're being treated fairly, while it makes others portray Democrats as anti-business.
