When sedimentary rocks are weathered and eroded, they turn into sediments.

And after compaction and cementation of the sediments, it will turn back into sedimentary rock.

The rocks are worn away when rain falls.It takes many years. You can tell a rock has started to be worn away if it has cracks in it.
