How do you catch entai without a master ball?

Well, there isn't really an obvious answer to your question. The only thing you can do is hope you catch it with something else, such as an ultra ball. I suggest if you don't have a master ball use either a quick ball or an ultra ball.

The simple answer to your question is yes.

You can capture Entei without a masterball, but you must be careful. Personally, I always save my masterball for the featured Pokemon in the game (Giratina, Lugia, etc.) Besides, if you use up your masterball, how will you catch Raiku and Suicune?

If you are having trouble catching without a masterball, here are a few tips.

1. Don't destroy it with a higher level Pokemon. If you want to catch it, you will regret it.

2. Be SURE to save before each encounter with Entei, in case you make it faint anyway.

3. The move "False Swipe" is your friend. It's not super powerful, and it is the normal type, but if you're getting close to making Entei OK to catch, it will leave it with 1 HP. I recommend getting a Sneasel for the move.

try waiting until the evening and catch it with a dusk ball or if you dont want to wait and do other stuff first then sneak on your ds at night. Please discuss if you want me to tell you how I sneak on it without noticing.

Lower its hp, affect it a status alignment and use a move like mean look to trap it.

Your best bet is to lead with a Pokemon with Arena Trap, sleep or paralyze, whittle down his HP, and throw your heart out. Of course, reset if you accidentally KO him.
