Should front tires spin when the vehicle is jacked up high enough that the tires no longer touch the ground?

If the vehicle is a rear-wheel drive, the tires should be able to rotate when not in contact with the ground - unless the brake is set to stop the rotation. If it is a front-wheel drive, the tires should not rotate unless the vehicle is in neutral - likewise if 4-wheel drive is engaged.

What does pedalling mean on the show Pinks?

Peddling is the art of letting off the accelerator to stop wheel-spin when the tires break loose, and then getting right back on the gas when the tires hook up. Tire spin is not what you want when drag racing. Wheel spin equates to loss of traction and slower elapsed times.

How do you increase and stop the spin in skating?

To increase the spin, pull in your arms and they will stop slowing the spin down. Keeping them out will slow the spin down and you will spin for a smaller period of time. To stop the spin, stick your toe-pick into the ice, and you will stop. I hoped that helped you! :D

What does it mean when both front tires spin but the back tires dont?

Probably means you have a "front wheel" drive car....your front tires are what make your car go, not the back. I have front wheel drive on my car and once on a rainy day...my front wheels spun out taking off from a stop sign...wierd! I hate front wheel drive cars!

When a driver wants to stop a car -------------- between the tires and the ----------------------- help stop the car?

When a driver wants to stop a car, they apply the brakes. The friction between the tires and the road surface help stop the car. How a vehicle handles is determined by the traction between the tires and roadway.

Why increase friction?

You would increase friction so that you wouldn't slip, by using the brakes on your car of bike you increase friction to stop yourself. Hikers increase friction between their feet and the ground by wearing hiking shoes that grip the ground better. Tires on cars that create more friction make the car go faster, because instead of sliding, the tires grip the ground and push off.

Why is it important that the steering alignment measuring equipment is maintained correctly?
