You can get your lip pierced in many different places, like a monroe, which is on your upper lip off to the side, meant to resemble a beauty mark like Marilyn monroe's, or you can get snake bites, which is on both sides of the lower lip, or a labret, which is in the dent right above your chin, or you can just get it off to the side on the lower lip. Like I said, it all depends on your opinion, not what's in style. I have mine pierced on the left side of my lower lip, just because my hair is parted there. It may mean something different to you, but you can pierce where ever you want to.
