You didn't mention the year, make and model of vehicle but if the relay has 4 prongs, remove the relay, with key off probe the 4 connections with a test light, one of the connections should light the test light. Using a jumper wire connect the hot connection to the connection diagonally opposite, this will jump the fuel pump for testing purposes only!
